Created by a loving Father, formed by His hand even as He breathed life into our lungs, He endowed us with freedoms intrinsic to our very nature. Yet, in sin, that freedom can be lost in this lost and dark world. Pain, struggles and challenges can overtake you. Sorrow, hurt and bitterness can bind you. Others can seek to impose themselves, taking from you, seeking to rob you of your hope and peace. It is a part of our fallen state that keeps us away from God.
That isn’t what He desires for you though.
Throughout His word we see that He has always had a different design for you. “For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.” (Romans 8:20-21) For whatever darkness or depravity might dwell in our world, whatever affliction or infirmity may impose itself on your life, subjecting you to the harsh realities of this temporal existence God offers deliverance. This is the central message of Christ’s ministry as he preached the gospel to the poor, healed the brokenhearted, preached deliverance to the captive, restored the sick and the wounded, and brought liberty to the oppressed. (Luke 4:18) It would be a message he would carry to the cross as he died for you and your salvation in a love beyond all measure.
Freed in Faith focuses on this liberty that comes through a deeper relationship with our Savior. Determined to know nothing but Christ, and him crucified, and to teach Scriptural truth Freed in Faith seeks to offer a bold expression of God’s encompassing grace. Turning to scripture as the divinely inspired Word of God, “profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3: 16-17) we acknowledge that only by a better understanding and thoughtful study of Scripture that we can come close to comprehending the heart of God and His divine plan for us. Through timely Biblical messages, resources, broadcasts and books, we strive to delve deeper into the Spirit understanding that “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” (2 Corinthians 3:17) preaching a message of divine forgiveness, healing and salvation.
Centered around hope, compassion, and mercy we believe that no matter where we may be in life God has a plan and a purpose in our lives that transcends our plans. Yes it can be wrought with challenges, difficulties, struggles and affliction, but it remains the perfect expression of His divine love for you. Yet in those trials we need not travel alone or journey by ourselves. Given to be a family of believers we are to draw on each other to grow in our faith, edifying and strengthening each other in our walks. It is a unity that binds us together and strengthens us in the power of the Spirit, and one that Freed in Faith is committed to as it seeks to uphold the dignity, significance and meaning of every life amidst that call by our Savior to love our God and our neighbor above all else, (Mark 12:30-31) offering freely of ourselves.
