Prayer: According to Your plan, give me purpose Lord

I look to Your Words, Lord, putting my trust and my faith in the promises You have made through Your boundless love for me. Right now, I am searching across the distance, as my heart looks beyond the horizon, trying to find my purpose. So often it feels as if I drift without meaning or the proper understanding of what my life is meant to be. In so many ways I struggle with who I am and what it is that I am meant to be as I this feeling overtakes me that I am meant to be and do more with the blessings and the gifts that You have given me.

You are the one who has told me that even before I was born You knew me. It was Your Word that has assured me that, even when I was in the womb, You had a divine plan laid out for me and for my life. It is now that purpose, Your purpose, that I search for as I come to You in trust and hope, looking for guidance for my life.

You are the Master Potter, so I leave it all to You, I put it in Your hands. Take me and shape me according to Your design, according to Your plan. Mold me for the work that You would have me do O Lord, that I can joyfully live in the purpose that You have for my life, giving myself over completely to the work that You would have me do. Let me no longer drift aimlessly through this world, meandering along the road of life. Take me by my hand O Lord, and show me the way according to Your divine and holy will given towards me, that I may know all that You desire of me. Show me Lord, that I may forever strive, in Your Spirit, to live up to Your potential for me.

I look to Your Words, Lord, putting my trust in the promises You have made. Fulfill them unto me that I may fulfill unto You according to Your grand design.

In the name of Your Son, my Lord and my Savior Jesus Christ, who lived according to a plan ordained in Your love for us, even unto His own suffering, sorrow and death, I pray these things, Amen.
